This project entailed works as part of the Northbridge redevelopment following construction of the Graham Farmer Freeway tunnel.The works included extensive demolition of buildings, both in whole and in part, with most being in close proximity to existing properties, and subsequent remediation of soil including removal and disposal of class 2 contaminated material, screening of uncontrolled fill and the removal of a number of abandoned underground tanks, services and wells.

A Waste Tracking System was incorporated to account for the traceability of the disposal of general rubble and contaminated material to approved landfill sites, as well as importation of clean fill.

Dust control measures were implemented on this site including monitoring of dust emissions with our Dustrak dust monitoring equipment. The close proximity of the works area to local businesses and residential properties dictated strict controls on dust and noise emissions.
